1 July 2008

RIGHT: International and Interstate guests enjoy some of the local delights with members of the organising committee at Terrigal Beach Cold Rock Ice Creamery during the 2007 Internationals.

Just 17 days to go until the 2nd International Highland Dancing Championships of Australia takes place on the Central Coast of NSW. Organisers are still giving you the opportunity to compete, accepting entries right up until the competition itself.

Contrary to what you may have heard, entries are still being received for the Internationals and will be accepted up until the competition itself. The sections are looking good with places still available in championship sections and supporting events.

If you weren't at last year's Internationals, be sure to get in this year, to be judged by a stellar International panel of judges and compete for your share in over $20000 in cash and prizes. All dancers will receive a goodies bag, with championship dancers included in a special presentation.

This year the Internationals is part of the 30th Annual Highland Dancing competition organised by CCHDI (formerly Peninsula Highland Dancing Association) and as part of that milestone, we are inviting all attendees to join us at a gala dinner Friday 18th July at the Central Coast Leagues Club.

In addition to the opening social event, we will concluding the competitive days with a traditional Scottish Ceilidh at the Central Coast Leagues Club with music provided by The Journeymen.

This is a wonderful weekend of dance no-one should miss out on! CCHDI is looking forward to seeing you on the Coast "Dancing Under the Stars"
