The official event and entry forms for the 3rd International Highland Dancing Championships are available now from CCHDI.

The event will be held on the NSW Central Coast from July 24th - 27th 2009 and will feature a number of dance sections and social events that will provide a fitting extended weekend for all dancers.

Opening the weekend will be Douglas McFarland's Down Under the Kilt; Reel Men Do Dance! starring Tony Cargill, Cameron and Vincent Collins, Steven MacRae, Kyle Marston, Desmond Worfolk, The Highland Warriors and Dougie himself.

This will lead into two hot days of competition ranging from pre-level aggregates, Premier and Restricted Premier Titles, Pre-Championships, Champion Challenges, National Cups and the International Highland Dancing Championships of Australia. With over $20000 in cash and prizes available, this year's Internationals is deemed to be the strongest ever.

Following the weekend's competition, dancers are invited to attend a workshop with International tutors.
