Douglas McFarland's Down Under the Kilt; Reel Men Do Dance was officially endorsed by Gosford City Council as Mayor Holstein presented CCHDI with a cheque for an undisclosed amount through the cultural grant program.
The grant provided important funding to the organisation which staged the 3rd Down Under the Kilt installment in July 2009, a production which cost upwards of $30000.
This is the 2nd time in CCHDI's history that the council endorsed projects financially, with the first grant being received in July 2008 for the 2nd International Highland Dancing Championships.
Gosford City Council and CCHDI have formed a great partnership with CCHDI providing dancers for a number of key projects including Australia Day and various multi cultural events.
Douglas McFarland's Down Under the Kilt; Reel Men Do Dance will be released on DVD through Turtleblue soon. Douglas McFarland's Down Under the Kilt; Dreamtime Stories is available on DVD now
