Hitting the market in 2004 with the Championship pump, Dougies were an instant success amongst highland dancers in Australia. Produced by the one of the Worlds largest dance shoe manufacturers, the championship shoe is sleek in it's design, allowing the dancer's foot the finest of points. This pump has been worn by several champion highland dancers in major championships throughout the world. This shoe was worn by Dougie in the 2004 World Highland Dancing Championships Final.
In 2005 Dougie introduced a new shoe - BOUNCE initially to the Australian market. This shoe is remarkable in its design, it has an impact pad which absorbs impact on landing, but unlike other padded shoes, the BOUNCE has been designed so that its impact absorbing technology does not disfigure the dancers point. In fact when the dancer points their foot, you can't even tell the pad is there, but seconds later when the point becomes a ball, the relief of BOUNCE is instantly felt.
Since it's launch in March Dougies Bounce have become a bestseller, outselling the championship shoe. Dancers worldwide have been intrigued by this remarkable shoe.
In July 2006, during Dougies World Tour, the brand was lauched into the United States of America in partnership with American retail giant Highland Island. This agreement sees the shoes distributed throughout the USA and Canada.
