International Champion Kyle Marston has returned to form to win the Thistle "City of Brisbane" Championship held last month.

21 year old Marston is the first VLSHD student to win a championship in QLD and has added this title to a great collection from 2008 including the International Championship, Eastern Australian Championship and the NDAA's Australasian Championship.

The win comes early in the year and follows Kyle's earlier win at the Central Coast Titles. Kyle reclaimed the Central Coast Title with 4 overall firsts, the same style he won the Thistle Championship in.

In other results, 12 year old Hannah Polo placed 5th in the 12-13 years, prior to travelling to Perth to place 4th in the Western Australian Championship. Hannah also won the Central Coast Titles earlier in the year.

The pair, along with Gordy Wilson Scholarship winner Kate Campbell will travel to Scotland later in the year to compete in the World Highland Dancing Championship. They leave with studio Principal Mrs McFarland shortly after the International Highland Dancing Championships being held on the Central Coast in July. Lauren Baldachinno will also travel to Scotland to take part in the Edinburgh Military Tattoo.
