The VLSHD is looking forward to a bright new future, with a number of new young dancers hitting the competition stage for the first time this year.

The school entered it's first dancers in competition in 1963 and in 2009 remains amongst the best of competitive dance schools in Australia.

Led by Veronica McFarland, teacher of 2 Adult Australasian Champions, the dancers will compete in a number of upcoming competitions including The International Highland Dancing Championships and supporting events this coming July.

The young dancers will combine with the older dancers as the VLSHD continues to support the NSW State Committee's annual fund raising concert on June 14th. They will be joined by Douglas McFarland's Highland Warriors, a group of young male dancers who will also compete under the school banner at upcoming competitions.

All at VLSHD are thrilled to see the continued strength of the school and are committed to furthering the competitive sport long into the future.
